Technically known as TPE or TPR, this is an SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) based thermoplastic elastomer. It can be formulated in any opaque, translucent and crystal colour, as well as in a range of hardnesses usually from 40 to 90 Shore A.
Depending on the type of application, this raw material has good mechanical properties in terms of resistance to abrasion, flexion, traction, stretching and tearing, and references with matte properties such as “Rubber Like”, anti-UV, with food approval and ecological references are also available.
